OVERVIEW
PeopleCore developed and implemented the learning strategy for the Rocky Mountaineer Rail Operations Team. We migrated regulatory and compliance training manuals (taught 100% in-person) into an interactive online format (eLearning) and hosted these online courses in our Learning Management System (LMS). PeopleCore supports the ongoing reporting of learner data on the LMS as well as training on administrative usage of the LMS.

Our learning strategy and implementation eliminated the classroom training of over 300 Rocky Mountaineer employees and contractors. It also continues to provide Rocky Mountaineer with statistics on learner behaviour, completion rates, updated contractor data, and other analytics not previously available.
THE CHALLENGE
Improve training efficiencies while maintaining and increasing safety. Create effective and accessible online learning to reduce/eliminate in-person training costs. Host online learning and collect learning data for compliance purposes.
THE APPROACH
Analyse current training approach and look for ways to streamline, improve, reduce costs.

Work with internal subject matter experts to convert technical and safety manuals into processes and procedures.

Produce learning solutions that are accessible, cost-effective, and improve safety and compliance.
THE RESULTS
Creation of technical and safety elearning modules with embedded technical images and videos demonstrating correct application of procedures.

100% migration of learning to an online format.
Hosting of online learning in a Learning Management System (LMS) and collection of online learning data for safety and compliance purposes.
